Lighting the Way
The D-Link DI-624 has a great set of lights that can tell you exactly what's working (and what's not) if you know how to read them. Here's how to decode the LEDs, from left to right:
Power: Solid light that means you are plugged in!
Status: This light blinks steadily to indicate that the router is ready for business.
WAN: Solid light means you are connected properly to your DSL or cable modem. It blinks during data transmission.
WLAN: Solid light means the unit's wireless hardware is ready for action. It blinks during wireless data transmission.
Local Network 1-4: These four LEDs show a solid light when connected properly to an Ethernet computer or other network-enabled device on ports 1 to 4 on the back of the router. They blink during wired data transmission.

Plug-n-Go
The back of the D-Link DI-624 is a model of simplicity. Just plug in the power cable, plus your cable or DSL modem into the WAN port, and any wired computers into the four 10/100 Ethernet LAN ports.

Everything You Need
Here's the contents of the D-Link box, with Quick Start Guide, software CD, power cable, standard Ethernet cable, wall-mount screws, and feet for sideways placement.

Upright Stance
Tilt your D-Link sideways with the attachable rubber feet to save space. Or use the included wall-mount screws.
