Likes
Gigabit switch, very good throughput, Wi-Fi Protected Setup, DHCP reservation, very good interoperability with other draft-n equipment, relatively low price.
Dislikes
Disappointing range, dense Web interface, must buy matching cards for top performance.
Good for
Gamers, VoIP users and streaming media addicts who are frustrated with their wireless performance will benefit from the DIR-655's combination of 802.11n, gigabit Ethernet and intelligent QoS.
Bad for
Those who have earlier MIMO routers won't see much of a performance bump except on the wired side due to the gigabit switch; they can wait for certified draft-802.11n products to appear later this year, when prices will also be lower.
